CELLSLIGHT MINISTRY

The rapid growth in our church attendance and the limitation of time each Sunday have made it increasingly difficult to attend to everyone’s need personally and adequately on Sunday alone. Thus, worshippers at Lighthouse may feel impersonal, the lack of warmth and wonder how to fit into the Lighthouse family.

Yet Hebrews 10:24-25 challenge us to “… consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” And also“… not to give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but (to) encourage one another – and all the more as we see the Day approaching.”

How can we meet these challenges practically?

The Cellslight Ministry exists primarily to meet these challenges. It provides the avenue to help you acclimatize and fit into this Lighthouse family.

And since God has drawn you here, we want you to know that you are a vital part of this family. Hence, we strongly encourage you to join a Cellslight group.

1. What Is Cellslight Ministry?

Cellslight Ministry is the small group ministry of Lighthouse Evangelism. Each cell group is led by a trained leader with the primary focus of meeting the needs of members in a more personal and individual way. The groups vary in size, averaging about 10 to 15 people per group. They gather in members’ homes located in various parts of Singapore or in both our church compounds.

The Cellslight groups meet on different nights or days of the week, except on Saturday. Groups that meet in the daytime comprise mainly housewives or youth. The youth cells, however, only meet on Sunday. Youths from Lighthouse Evangelism Tampines meet on Sunday morning prior to the Speedlight (Youth) Worship Service, and youths from Lighthouse Evangelism Woodlands meet on Sunday afternoon after the Speedlight (Youth) Worship Service. Generally, most adult groups meet at night starting at 8.00 pm and will last for one-and-a-half to two hours in duration. There are more than 200 cell groups in our church today.

Over the years, many Cellslighters have testified that they have found support and encouragement in time of needs through the cell meetings. Many have also experienced answered prayers and received strength to live on tirelessly for the Lord. In Cellslight, committed Lighters have also found their niches and are faithfully exercising their God-given gifts and talents, helping each other to grow and mature in the Lord. It is here that faithful Lighters, as a family, grow in the Lord together.
