| Back to Featured Testimonies Benjamin Seah Attention-Deficity Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Healed at the Miracle Service, Singapore In early 2000, 11-year-old Benjamin would become angry and aggressive whenever he was provoked. He was reported to have acted dangerously toward his classmates. For instance, he stabbed a classmate in the back with his pencil. Once, he almost injured a classmate when he tossed a pair of scissors into the air, missing her narrowly. All his schoolmates kept a distance from him. At home, he also bullied Marcus, his younger brother, to no end. Distraught, Anita brought Benjamin to a psychiatrist in July 2000. He was diagnosed to suffer from Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) - a behavioral disorder exhibiting increased motor activity in association with poor attention span and weak impulse control. Medically, ADHD is a condition that is treatable, but not curable because its cause is still unknown. As his condition worsened, Benjamin would dig into his throat with his finger, some days more than 500 times in a day, causing the throat to bleed. Then, he began licking the floor of the toilet and even, the toilet bowl, despite his parents' disciplinary action. He also complained repeatedly about hearing an internal voice urging him to perform these compulsive actions. Benjamin was warded and given medication but his condition did not improve. He even started scolding his family members using vulgarity. Sensing that his actions might have been prompted by the devil, Anita brought him to the Miracle Service in July 2000. Benjamin received progressive healing from the Lord and his condition began to improve in September 2000. Soon after that, his compulsive actions stopped. In fact, he made it to the top 25% of his class in his final examinations that year. Now, he obeys his parents and has made many friends in class. Back to Top |
