Severe Back Problem
Healed at the Miracle Service, Singapore
For three years, Janie Pek had a nerve-wrecking back problem. There was a constant nagging ache, followed by attacks of severe pain. When these attacks came, Janie would have to spend three days lying in bed. Despite consulting two specialists, who gave her physiotherapy treatment, her back condition did not improve.
Her daughter, Geraldine, began to tell her about the Miracle Service. After attending each Miracle Service, Geraldine would bring back the miracle reports for Janie to read. Initially, Janie did not believe that God could heal her. But with Geraldine's persistence, Janie gradually began to be more open to divine healing.
When she attended the Miracle Service for the first time in December 1998, Janie felt very ministered to and she gave her life to Jesus during the third Miracle Service she attended. She received her healing progressively. Janie knew she was totally healed of the back problem when she could do housework and even jog without any pain on her back.
In August 1999, Janie participated out of ignorance in the "hungry ghost" ritual preparation to help her sister-in-law who was ill. Not knowing that she had opened an opportunity for the devil to attack, her back problem recurred. This time, however, Janie was not defenseless as she knew how to pray and seek God for her healing.
One evening, while Janie was praying in tongues at home, Geraldine, who was still in school, was led by the Holy Spirit to pray in tongues for her mother. It was at that same moment that Janie received her total healing. She realized that she must not be involved in any matters involving idol worshipping. From then onwards, Janie has been totally free from her back problem.
