Bone Disorder - Perthes' Disease
This degenerative disease affects the top of the leg bone in the hip joint.
Through the progression of time, the deterioration of the top of the leg
bone will worsen and ultimately, the entire hip structure will collapse,
leaving the patient helplessly paralysed.

Victoria Ford was a normal, healthy six-year-old girl until February 1998
when she experienced constant pain in her left leg and hip joint, so much
so that she had to walk with a limp. After thorough medical examinations
by specialists in which MRI was included, the diagnosis was that Victoria
was suffering from a rare bone disorder known as Perthes' disease.
This degenerative disease affects the top of the leg bone in the hip joint. Through the progression of time, the deterioration of the top of the leg bone will worsen and ultimately, the entire hip structure will collapse, leaving the patient helplessly paralysed.
She was immediately confined to a wheelchair to avoid further aggravation of the condition. The doctors said that there was nothing else they could do. Anne, the mother, mustered as much prayer support as she could get from her relatives and friends in Australia. She was horrified at the thought of the collapse of Victoria's entire foundational bone structure. Now all she could do was to hope for the best as she committed her daughter to the Lord and brought Victoria to the Miracle Service.
At the Miracle Service, as Anne listened intently to the testimonies of those who were wonderfully healed by the power of God, faith arose within her heart. While she was on the way home with Victoria, her fear and anxiety were completely gone. Subsequently, she brought Victoria to the Miracle Service again.
At the re-examination, to the doctors' utter amazement,
they couldn't find any trace of the dreadful Perthes' disease. The medical
professor who attended to Victoria confessed that he did not know what
to think. He said, "Not only is the disease completely gone, it is
as though Victoria had never suffered from it before." Indeed, Jesus
Christ is not only the Saviour but also the Greatest Physician of all
those who put their trust in Him. Amen!
