Healed of Diabetes
Healed at the Miracle Service, Singapore
In February 2004, when Chong Hon Leong’s daughter told him that
she saw ants around their toilet bowl at home, he suspected at once that
one of his family members could have diabetes. Since both his parents
were diabetic, he knew in his heart that that person would likely be
him. A quick home test the next day indicated that indeed he was the
one. For confirmation, his fasting blood glucose was taken at a nearby
hospital and was found to be 264.6 mg/dl, more
than double that of a non-diabetic (normal reading - 80 to 126).
Hon Leong has been a Gospelighter for more than 10 years,
praying for the sick and needy at the Miracle Service. So when he read “there
is no cure for diabetes yet” in a hospital booklet, “A Guide
To Diabetic Diet”, he immediately rejected it. He knew that God
can perform the impossible and there are already several cases of diabetes
being healed at the Miracle Service. Instead of complaining or blaming
God for allowing his condition, he just trusted the Lord to heal him
as He had delivered him from backache and shoulder problem in the past.
Undeterred by his circumstance, Hon Leong continued to serve at the Miracle
Service. Other than interceding together with his wife and family, he also
obtained prayer support from his cell members, our children ministry members
and other Gospelighters. He faithfully kept a healthy diet, a regular exercise
routine and also took a very small dosage of medication daily. After attending
just three Miracle Services, his fasting blood glucose reading returned
to normal.
Subsequently, Hon Leong took another test on May 6, 2004, which clearly
indicated that his fasting blood glucose reading was in the non-diabetic
range. Encouraged, he took a step of faith by stopping his medication altogether
three days later on Mother’s Day, with the peace in his heart that
God had healed him. He has since been monitoring his fasting blood glucose
reading daily and it has hovered around 80 mg/dl, the lower range of a
non-diabetic, completely without any medication. Contrary
to medical science,
Hon Leong has been totally healed from diabetes by the grace of our loving
Father in Heaven!
