Healed Of Chronic Eczema
Healed at the Miracle Service, Singapore
For over 10 years, fifteen-year-old Ryan Tan was plagued by chronic
eczema.
The ordeal started with itchy rashes when he was just four years of age.
Over time, his condition just kept deteriorating. By the time he was
12,
the rashes almost covered his whole body. Because of the uncontrollable
itch, he scratched till he bled and this resulted in raw wounds everywhere.
Bloodstains could be found on his bed sheet and on all the clothes he
wore. Iris, his mother, would sweep out lots of skin flakes from his
room
every day.
To alleviate his agony, Ryan's family had tried everything
humanly possible. They had consulted countless Chinese physicians, doctors
and skin specialists. From herbs, vitamins, medicated creams, antibiotics
and steroids to abstinence from various categories of food, Ryan had
tried
them all. For six weeks consecutively, his doctor administered daily
injection directly into his raw wounds but his condition continued to
worsen. Through
patch test, his doctor identified that Ryan was allergic to metal. However,
despite changing all the things that he daily came into contact with
to
non-metallic, his condition persisted. To prevent him from scratching
in his sleep, Iris went so far as tying his hands and anchoring them
to
a marble chair. But the itch was so uncontrollable that Ryan actually
lifted the chair to his bed and started scratching nevertheless. Desperate,
she even consulted temple mediums who were of no help at all.
As a result
of his condition, he seldom went out for fear that others might be afraid
of his appearance. Once, when Ryan's father
had to take him to the clinic, he broke down in tears when he saw the
terrible sight of the bleeding wounds all over his son's body. Iris also
could not bear to see Ryan suffering. She even had suicidal thoughts
of
jumping off a building with him.
Toward the end of 2002, as Iris was finalizing
arrangements to bring Ryan to Beijing to consult a physician, she happened
to meet
a relative who strongly recommended that she attend our Miracle Explosion
2002 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Iris was somehow convinced that
she ought to give it a try although she had always dodged Christians
in
the past. On the first night of the Miracle Explosion 2002, Ryan readily
received Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Subsequently, Iris too gave her
life to Christ on the third night.
Since then, Iris attended the
Miracle Service every Saturday and prayed in proxy for Ryan. Four months
later at the Miracle Service
on April 12, 2003, Iris started to get impatient and said to herself
that that would be her last service as there seemed to be no improvement
in
his condition at all. That very night, the Lord spoke to her through
Pastor Rony's message on "Faith and Patience" and she was very
ministered to. Two weeks later, she also learned from Pastor Rony that
healing would
start internally with the spirit first and then manifest externally to
the physical body. She immediately shared that with Ryan at home.
A few days later, Ryan's teacher, who is also a Christian,
discussed with Iris about her son's behavior at school. She also mentioned
that his problem could only be overcome internally. As Iris related this
to Ryan, he was moved to tears. He knew those words from Pastor Rony and
his teacher were from God and received them in his spirit. The next morning,
Iris and Ryan were overjoyed that there were no blood stains or flakes
on his bed sheet. From then onward, his wounds just began to dry up and
his condition improved progressively, completely without any medication.
