Corine Chua

After two years of marriage, Corine Chua and her husband consulted a
gynecologist as they wanted to start a family but could not. Diagnosed
with polycystic ovarian syndrome which made
it difficult for her to ovulate, Corine was told that she had very slim
chance of conceiving babies.
She was prescribed a medicine to help her ovulate.
The medicine worked and she rejoiced that she was pregnant. Unfortunately, after
eight weeks, she had a miscarriage.
Undeterred, Corine took the medicine again. However, her body did not respond
to it this time. Her gynecologist then recommended another type of medicine which
was intended to help her lose weight and also ovulate. Corine and husband were glad
that she ovulated and conceived the second time. However, their hope was dashed
when she again had another miscarriage at
the eighth week of her pregnancy.
Corine is a fulltime church worker who ministers to others; but after her second
miscarriage, she found it hard to trust God. In fact, she had a crisis in faith
and was on the verge of backsliding. Her pastor went over to her place to encourage
and pray for her. Still, Corine cried every night because she felt as though
God had let her down. After two pregnancies which ended in disappointment, she
also stopped taking the medicine.
Then one day, while in a cab, a conversation started between a taxi driver and
herself. When he shared with her about the Miracle Service in Lighthouse, she
suddenly recalled the testimony of a lady who was healed of womb cancer some
years ago at the Miracle Service so she decided to give it a try.
In early July 2005, Corine attended the Miracle Service. When she first stepped
into the Sanctuary, she still could not trust God. But after hearing the testimonies
of those who were healed, her faith was lifted up so she told the Lord that she
wanted to place her trust in God again.
That was when the sentence, “God delights in faith”, kept ringing
in her spirit. She knew what she had to do. The next Saturday, she came again
and boldly prayed for the healing of her womb and asked the Lord to bless her
with a pair of twins.
The following Thursday, Corine discovered that she was ovulating from the drop
of her temperature. Excited, she and her husband came together and she conceived
again. Fear of miscarriage did try to creep into her spirit but she remembered
the sentence, “God delights in faith”, and determined in her heart
to trust God for healthy development of her fetus.
In the seventh week of her pregnancy, her gynecologist examined the heartbeat
of her fetus. Corine was somewhat disappointed to be told that there was only
one set of heartbeat because she was expecting a pair of twins but was comforted
that the fetus was well. So she gave thanks to God for the baby and prayed for
healthy
pregnancy.
Then during the routine check in the 13th week of her pregnancy, she heard a
sudden exclamation by her gynecologist,“ Eh!” Worried, she retorted, “What?” After
a few moments of suspense, her gynecologist finally said, “Your baby split!” Before
Corine’s mind started to go wild with her imagination, her gynecologist
added, “You have a pair of twins!” Corine and her husband were ecstatic
at the news because God had answered her prayer.
Subsequently, her pregnancy went very well and Ally and Abby, the miracle babies,
were safely delivered, all by the grace of God. Amen!
Set Free From Financial Crisis
And Restoration Of Relationship With Father
Perry Siow
Healed at the Miracle Service, Singapore
Since he was very young, Perry Siow had a father who would frequently come back
drunk and used vulgarity and even physical violence on his wife and children.
When
Perry grew older and had the strength, he fought with his father, especially
when Perry’s mother was bullied. He even took his father
to a family court and obtained a Personal Protection Order against him.
Growing up in such a family background, Perry did not finish his primary
school education.
But later he was accepted into Vocational Institute
(VI) to be trained as a car mechanic. It was then that he mixed with
bad company and became
a gang member. He started bullying people and used vulgarity profusely.
Other
than robbing, he also became very violent. Under the orders of his gang
leader, he got into mindless fights, and sometimes with sticks
and weapons. More than once, he narrowly escaped police arrest.
Furthermore,
he started glue-sniffing and took drugs. The only reason he was able
to refrain from being addicted to them was that he did not
want to end up like his friends who were sent to jail and rehabilitation
centers. He would go clubbing and got drunk almost every night. Subsequently,
he not only prayed to all kinds of idols, but also assisted a temple
medium to prepare talismans.
After graduating from VI, he did work as
a car mechanic, but only for a while. Then he was employed in an investment
company. His job was to
get people to invest in commodity trading. He did reasonably well initially.
However,
a crisis struck in 1999 when he went on a trip to Indonesia to look for
prospective clients. In his absence, he entrusted the accounts
of all his clients to his colleague.
When he returned to Singapore, to
his horror, all his clients’ accounts
were wiped out. He turned to his friends for help but no one came to
his aid. After bursting the limits of all his credit cards, he had no
choice but to borrow money from bank, legal money lender and loan shark
to cover the shortfall.
Desperate, he made a vow to all kinds of gods
that he would give anything to get out of his situation, but nothing
happened.
In fact, Perry became so desperate that he actually knelt before
his father and asked him to help but only to receive a tirade of insults.
Angry, Perry got into a fist fight with him and they ended in the police
station.
That day, he told his father that he wanted to sever all relations with
him. He then stormed out of the house and put up with his aunt.
In his
loneliest moments, he was jobless and owing huge debts, his girlfriend
left him and his friends shunned him. In addition, his relationship with
his father was estranged and he felt that he was such a poor example
to his younger siblings.
At that lowest point of his life, he even contemplated
suicide because he felt like a total failure and life was hopeless and
meaningless. By
God’s grace, he somehow managed to refrain himself from doing so
and later moved back to stay with his family.
In 2000, while he was at
the coffee shop opposite our Tampines center, he saw our Miracle Service
publicity banner and felt a prompting to attend
because he was really in need of a miracle.
That Saturday, he walked into
the Sanctuary in his shorts and slippers. Halfway through the message,
he felt very offended that Pastor Rony declared
that there is only one true and living God.
However, as the rest of the
sermon seemed to make sense, he decided to attend the Miracle Service
again. During his fourth visit, he heard
from the pulpit, “If you believe in Jesus Christ, I guarantee your
life will never be the same again.”
He was so drawn to the promise
that he came forward and responded to the altar call, thinking that he
had nothing to lose anyway.
Although there was no instant miracle, Perry
discovered that as the days went by, he had better control over his temper
and his usage of
vulgarity. He even cut down his drinking significantly.
Then something
miraculous happened. God opened a door of opportunity for him. A real
estate agency decided to employ him despite his lack
of qualification. He worked very hard and did well by God’s grace.
Within a short time, he actually managed to clear all his debts.
Furthermore,
Perry realized that he no longer looked at his father with hatred or
bitterness. Instead, he was determined to show love to his
parents and siblings. Initially, his father responded very coldly toward
all his efforts. But after his genuine and repeated attempts to communicate
with his father, their relationship was reconciled.
From then onward,
Perry became a totally changed man after he had found the reality of
God in his life. He is now serving regularly as a Gospelighter
and has signed up for our upcoming Manila Miracle Revival.
In fact, he
aspires to become a pastor and purpose to build a church and an orphanage
one day. Amen!
Liberated From Debilitating
Brainstem Stroke
Judy Tan
Healed at the Miracle Service, Singapore
On June 14, 2003, Judy Tan collapsed in her home while she was on the
phone with a friend. Rushed to the hospital, her doctors did a scan and
found that there was internal bleeding in her brain.
The pressure built up by the bleeding had to be released in order to
preserve her life. An immediate surgery was performed to draw out the
excessive fluid so as to release the pressure in her brain.
Following that, a second major and delicate operation was necessary to seal the
bleeding. That was when Judy’s sister, Baby, activated a prayer chain.
As that day happened to be a Saturday, Baby also stood in proxy for Judy at the
Miracle Service while the operation was in progress. She was very ministered
to and challenged by Pastor Rony’s message. The healing testimonies that
evening also brought much hope to Baby and these words came to her, “Judy
will not die but live to proclaim and declare the glorious works of the Lord
for her life.”
At the hospital, the operation, which was supposed to take less than six hours
to carry out, went on for more than 10 hours. After 12 agonizing hours, Judy
was finally out of the operating theater and her doctor broke the devastating
news to her family members.
While the bleeding was sealed, Judy suffered a stroke in
her brainstem which was located at the base of the brain right above the
spinal cord. Some common effects of brainstem stroke include muscle
degeneration, weakness and paralysis of the body, memory loss, imbalance and
poor coordination, coma and even death. What that meant was Judy’s
situation was critical and she would likely remain a quadriplegic, one who is
immobilized from the neck downwards for life.
During the next 53 days in the intensive care unit, there were tubes all over
her body. Judy drifted in and out of consciousness and when she could open her
eyes, she was not able to respond to anyone. She had critically
high fever, breathing difficulty and even developed pneumonia. Furthermore,
she was attacked by a type of rare and powerful bacteria.
That warranted a very strong dosage of antibiotics which made her extremely weak.
Meanwhile, Baby continued with her prayer chain and attended the Miracle Service
regularly. By God’s grace, Judy was delivered from all those life-threatening
situations and her condition stabilized.
Consequently, she was transferred to the high dependency ward. By then, her face
was all puffed up, her hands swelled to three times their
normal size and she had no facial expression at all. Still paralyzed,
she would throw up whenever she was moved because
she had little control over her swallowing. However, there were some positive
signs that she could understand words spoken to her. So Baby wrote down scriptural
verses on a whiteboard, held it up in front of Judy and recited God’s Word
to her a few times a day. And when Baby could not be there, she made sure that
Judy’s caregiver did the same thing.
After 45 days in the high dependency ward, Judy finally returned home. Her husband
prepared her room like that in the hospital and hired two caregivers to look
after her. She still could not move her limbs. When Baby found out that Judy
was able to make sounds with her voice, she started to read Pastor Rony’s
book, Faith That Brings Results, to Judy and encouraged her to also read it out
loud. Every morning, Baby would read with her and also pray with her. By faith,
Baby spoke over Judy’s head, body and muscles. Although Judy was able to
agree with Baby by nodding her head, she still could not speak.
Two years had passed, her condition worsened instead
of getting better. Her body muscles just kept degenerating
and her memory loss was obvious. There were mornings when Baby was so
discouraged after praying for her sister that she would cry in the car before
driving to work. Still, Baby continued to pray in proxy for Judy at the Miracle
Service week after week. She just wanted to stand firm on the words she received
that her sister would live to give God glory.
Then she heard these words from the Lord, “I’ll sustain Judy on her
sickbed with strength.”
Shortly after that, Judy was found to have fluid in her brain and had to go through yet
another major surgery. Baby was so broken that she cried out to God to
either heal Judy or take her home. On April 4, 2005, when Judy was about to be
wheeled in for the surgery, Baby asked her, “Do you know who is going into
the operating theater with you?” Judy who had not spoken a single word
for the past two years replied, “Yes. Jesus.” That brought tremendous
peace and comfort to Baby.
The next morning, to the amazement of everyone, she miraculously came around
with a complete presence of mind. Remarkably, she regained the control of her
muscles. With physiotherapy, she started the rebuilding of her body muscle mass
which had been wasting away for two years. She also started attending the Miracle
Service in a wheelchair. Progressively, she was able to slowly move around with
a walker; and within three months, she was walking completely unaided!
Through Judy’s miraculous recovery, her caregiver who had been looking
after her could not help but to acknowledge the reality
of God. The conviction in her was so strong that she, who was a Muslim,
willingly received Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Moreover, she even boldly shared
that with her father in Indonesia and he amazingly gave his blessings.
At her latest checkup one month ago, Judy was overjoyed that her doctor gave
her a clean bill of health and even certified that she was fit enough to drive.
Hallelujah!
Delivered of Ovarian Cysts
Vivian
Lee
Healed at the Miracle Service, Singapore
In a routine scan in May 2003, Vivian Lee’s gynecologist
discovered a cyst in each of her ovaries. An ultrasound
scan ensued at once and confirmed that they were approximately 4cm each.
Immediate surgery was suggested because medically, there
was no way the cysts would shrink or disappear on their own.
However, Vivian was not keen on that option and wanted to trust God for healing
instead. As the cysts were not life-threatening, her gynecologist agreed to hold
the surgery for a period of observation.
Seizing the opportunity, Vivian attended the Miracle Service as regularly
as
she could. Each time she saw God’s miraculous healing, her faith was charged
up.
Although there was no improvement initially, she continued to cling on
to His
Word. The first verse of Hebrews chapter 11 – “Now faith is the substance
of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” – ministered
to her greatly. She just believed and trusted God for His healing touch.
At the appointment on February 13, 2004, her gynecologist was surprised that
the two cysts had shrunk by half with no medication.
But he was reticent because what happened was in marked
contrast to his medical experience.
Following that, Vivian and her husband who were so encouraged by the result,
just kept coming to the Miracle Service and relied even more on Him.
In January 2005, after scanning Vivian, her gynecologist
was astonished that no trace of the cysts could be found. Without a single
incision or treatment, both the cysts completely disappeared.
Despite being a non-believer, her gynecologist said, “Only God could
do that.” Amen!
In her latest check-up in August 2005, Vivian was given a clean bill of health
with no further appointment scheduled for her.

Released
from Hot Temper and Smoking Habit
Desmond Ng
Healed at the Miracle Service, Singapore
Before Desmond Ng came to know Jesus personally, he had a hot
temper and was easily provoked to anger. He would frequently throw tantrums
at his family members, friends, colleagues and even his customers. To him, it
was always the faults of others but never his.
Furthermore, he was oppressed by many worries in life and the fear of death.
Together, his temper and oppressed mind affected his life adversely in many areas.
First of all, he had very few friends because he
constantly quarreled with the people around him.
Secondly, his career advancement was inhibited. His boss shared with him that
he missed out on a promotion opportunity as a result of his regular outbursts
of anger.
Thirdly, not only was he underweight by more than 10 kg, he also had frequent
migraines and gastric attacks.
One day in early 2004, Desmond received our Valentine Sunday flyer. Until then,
he had never attended a single church service in his life and wanted to give
it a try.
He came with his girlfriend on February 15, 2004. As soon as he stepped into
the Sanctuary, he felt an indescribable peace and calm which he enjoyed so much
that he just kept coming back.
Subsequently, Desmond decided to attend the Miracle Service because
his sister was suffering from nose cancer. Through prayer and also treatment,
his sister was completely delivered from cancer.
On November 6, 2004, he finally received Jesus as his Lord and Savior. From then
on, things took a positive turn. Progressively, he was able to control his volcanic
temper. When he found himself on the verge of getting angry, he would deliberately
praise the Lord for the power over his outburst. If he was in the wrong, Desmond
was able to apologize readily.
For 18 years, Desmond had been addicted to the tobacco habit and smoking about
20 sticks of cigarettes a day.
On May 7, 2005, which was the first week of our Lighthouse Challenge, he made
up his mind to commit his addiction to the Lord on his way to the Miracle Service.
After he was prayed over, a supernatural confidence came over him.
Miraculously, he experienced little withdrawal symptom and was not tempted to
smoke even when he was standing next to his smoking colleagues. In fact, since
that Miracle Service, he has not lit up another cigarette, thus improving his
health and also saving a considerable sum of money every month.
Since Desmond received Christ into his life, all the people
around him saw the positive and welcome change in him. He had learned
to cast all the worries in his life on the Lord and overcome the fear
of death with eternal perspective in mind.
His gastric condition had stopped completely and
his migraines had also reduced significantly in
frequency. Moreover, he had put on 12 kg and now has a healthy weight of 69
kg for his height. Praise the Lord!
Healed of Osteopenia, Cervical
Spondylosis
and Slipped Disk
Mona Lee
Healed at the Miracle Service,
Singapore
On July 24, 2005, Mona Lee was told that she was osteopenic after
a bone scan at a GP clinic. (Osteopenia is a condition where there is a reduction
in the bone density. Further reduction in the amount of bone mass would lead
to osteoporosis.) Her bone density index was only -1.3 (a normal reading should
be more than -1.0).
Mona prayed at the Miracle Service on July 30, believing
that God would increase her bone density.
At that same service, she also interceded for her daughter who had been suffering
from a bad cough for the past two weeks. The next morning, Mona rejoiced that
her daughter had stopped coughing.
On August 3, on her way to a follow-up bone scan, Mona told the Lord that she
believed that He had already healed her. She also prayed that the scan result
would be the written proof for her to testify of His wonderful healing.
When the scan result came out, she was overjoyed that the reading was 0.4,
well within the normal range. Indeed, it was a miracle, for it would be impossible
for a person to increase her bone density so rapidly within 10 days, even with
medication.
The Lord also delivered Mona of another two torturous problems. In 2002, she
suffered from cervical spondylosis. Part of a
bone in her neck was pressing on a nerve. This caused acute pain from her neck
all the way down to the fingers of her left hand. Her doctor contemplated surgery.
She attended the Miracle Service and was prayed over. Within a few weeks, the
pain subsided progressively and has not recurred since.
That same year, Mona was also plagued with slipped disk.
Unbearable pain would shoot up from the sole of her foot to her knee. Committing
it to prayer again at the Miracle Service, the pain also lifted miraculously
after several weeks. Since then, the pain has not returned at all.

Delivered From Smoking
And
Blessed With Job Opportunity

Hendro
Healed at the Miracle Service, Singapore
Lina Hendro,
who is from Jakarta, has been a Christian since young while she was studying
in a mission school. However, she was not fervent, nor was God real in her
life.
She started working as a stewardess with SIA in 1994 on a five-year contract.
When that ended, her contract was extended for another five years.
However, at the end of her second five-year contract in November 2004, she was
told that they no longer needed her services. The abrupt news took her by complete
surprise because she was a consistent performer at work. The fact that her colleague’s
contract was further extended only infuriated her and brought bitterness to her
heart. Feeling that she was unfairly treated, she appealed to her management
for a one-year contract extension.
During the period of her no-pay leave for one and a half months, Lina turned
to God out of desperation. She started attending our church in December 2004
and found peace and comfort.
Initially, she pleaded bitterly with the Lord to retain her job as it meant a
lot to her. Her prayer was always about what she wanted.
However, as she developed a relationship with the Lord and attended church faithfully,
her heart began to change. There was such a yearning in her heart for God that
when the Sunday Service was about to end, she would feel sad because she had
to wait so long for the following Sunday to arrive. It came to point in her spiritual
life that she no longer struggled to have what she wanted, but instead was ready
to choose whatever His will was.
Lina picked up smoking when she was only in her teens as a result of mixing with
bad company. Smoking at least a pack of cigarettes every
day, she found her 17-year-long habit hard to break.
On January 1, 2005, while at home, she felt a prompting to ask the Lord to help
her kick the habit at the Miracle Service that night. By faith, she took hold
of all the six and a half packs of cigarettes that were in her possession and
made a pact with the Lord, “I want to trade these (cigarettes) for my complete
healing.” After her prayer, she threw them all down the rubbish chute.
She attended the Miracle Service that night and was prayed
over. Subsequently, after Lina had taken her meal, she heard voices telling
her to light up a cigarette like she always did. A 10-minute struggle
ensued, but she did not manage to overcome the temptation. She bought
a pack of cigarettes and smoked.
The next day, after she had returned home from the 3.00 pm Sunday Service,
she saw the last three sticks of cigarette in her pack and told herself that
those would be the last cigarettes she would smoke. As soon as she lit up the
first stick, her body felt cold all over from her head down to her toes. And
when she smoked the second stick, her body shivered. Not giving too much thought
to what was going on, Lina went on to puff the third stick. This time, her
whole body started to ache – a sensation she had never experienced before.
That was when she sobered up and remembered the pact she had made with the
Lord. Immediately, she broke down in tears and repented. As the pain ebbed
away, Lina fell asleep.
But in the early morning of January 3, 2005, she was awakened and prompted
to pray. It was in the midst of the prayer that she heard an audible voice
right next to her ear, saying, “I am the Life itself.” She felt
the impact of those very words penetrating her whole being. Love, joy and peace
flooded her soul and deep down inside she sensed the cleansing beyond words.
She felt completely brand new. From the bottom of her heart, Lina surrendered
herself to the Lord and vowed to follow Him.
Following that wonderful encounter, she rejoiced that she no longer had any
appetite or desire to smoke. She was completely delivered from her tobacco
habit and has not smoked a single stick since.
On January 8, 2005, the result of her job appeal finally arrived. By then,
Lina felt completely at peace because she was ready to accept whatever the
outcome according to the will of God.
Still, she was amazed and delighted when she was told that her contract would
be extended another five years! Praise the Lord!
Through her close walk with God, Lina experienced His abundant blessings and
learned that without Him, life has no meaning at all.
Delivered from addiction to pornography
Alan Koo
Healed at the Miracle
Service, Singapore
While studying in Sydney Australia, Alan Koo met Goh Chin Chin at a Christian
Fellowship. When they returned to Singapore, they worshiped in a traditional
church and even served in the choir. In 1998 they
got married.
Being more committed to the Lord, Chin Chin was anxious
for Alan to grow in the Lord. He, on his part, was nonchalant and would
often fall asleep through the sermons. Chin Chin would feel embarrassed
because as choir members, they actually sat facing the congregation.
Alan was literally a sleeping Sunday Christian for six years. The best
part of a Sunday service he felt then, was during prayer time where he
could sleep while pretending to pray.
At home, Alan would rather spend most of his time reading newspaper and watching
television. He would only cursorily glance through the Word of God only at
the coaxing of Chin Chin.
Unknown to Chin Chin, Alan was secretly indulging in
pornography. He would sneak out of the bedroom in the middle of the
night after his wife had fallen asleep and stayed up to watch hard-core pornographic
VCDs. Being deceived, Alan felt that it was “educational” for a
married adult to watch such movies. He reckoned that as long as it did not
involve a third party, it
was harmless.
As he got more engrossed, he found himself unable to
stop this addiction. Alan had a few colleagues who shared the same harmful
habit and initially he would just exchange few X-rated VCDs with them. When
he became steeper in the habit, he went for more exotic materials and ended
up having a large collection
of them.
One day, while he was absorbed in watching a pornographic video, his wife came
home earlier than expected and caught him red-handed. She felt absolutely disappointed
with Alan and decided to leave him. She took three months of no-pay leave and
returned to her hometown in Seremban, Malaysia.
It finally dawned on Alan the gravity of their situation when she told him
through a church friend to secure a lawyer because she
wanted to file for a divorce. It was at this point that Alan realized
that no matter how reluctant he was, he needed to seek God’s help.
On a Friday evening of October 2002, while he was patronizing a make-shift
stall selling pornographic VCDs, he suddenly heard a man in front of him shouted “Police!” Alan’s
hand was grabbed by presumably a police officer in plain clothes.
Instinctively, he struggled and managed to break free. Running for dear life,
he stopped a good distance from the stall but only to discover that he had
dropped his company pager. He was overcome with fear, imagining that the pager
had dropped at the scene and the police would soon trace to him. He even imagined
losing his job and slapped with a heavy fine. However, he was still reluctant
to get rid of all the VCDs he possessed but instead hid them in where he thought
was a secure place.
At about 11 pm that night, he went back to the same place and tried to look
for his pager but to no avail. When he got home, he went down on his knees
and pleaded desperately with the Lord that if he could find his pager, he would
be willing to walk with Him
in obedience.
At 6 am the next day, he quickly washed up and left the house for only one
thing – to look for his pager. As he was tracing the route of escape
he used the night before, to his surprise, his pager was found resting on top
of a grass verge. In his heart, he knew that it was no coincidence and thanked
the Lord.
Later that day, a church friend whose wife was suffering from breast cancer
asked him to accompany them to attend the Miracle Service that same night.
Alan agreed. That night became a turning point of
his life.
He felt God’s anointing when he stepped into the Sanctuary. The lively
worship and Pastor Rony’s sermon ministered to him greatly. Alan rededicated
his life to Jesus that night. He felt joy and peace and even the confidence
to kick his addiction to pornography. He realized that his spiritual ears had
been shut all these years because of the sins he did not want to confess or
give up.
When he reached home, he immediately took all the pornographic VCDs he had
and ran all the way to Pasir Ris beach. On a solid rock, he knelt down and
confessed all his sins and renounced his harmful habit. Subsequently, he threw
all the VCDs into the sea and since that night, Alan has not felt any urge
to watch another pornographic movie. Praise God!
That night at home, he felt a still small voice prompting him to read the whole
Book of Romans. He realized he could understand all the passages that never
made sense to him before. Alan started to cry by the time he read chapters
6, 7 and 8. It was as if God was speaking directly into his heart.
Subsequently, he was also prompted to SMS his wife the verses that impacted
him. When Chin Chin received them, she was surprised but thought that they
were just his plot to win her back. By that time, she had rekindled her friendship
with her ex-boyfriend who was also unhappy with his marriage. It was under
those circumstances that they drew closer again.
When Alan found out, he fasted and prayed for 14 days. He was not discouraged
at all even when she was avoiding his calls and messages but trusted the Lord
for the reconciliation of their marriage.
At the end of her three months’ leave, Chin Chin was confused with what
was going on and decided to take up a one-month diploma course in Australia
to be away from everyone to reflect on her life. There, she searched the Bible
and found no ground to
divorce Alan.
Upon returning to Singapore, she reluctantly met up with Alan but there was
still a big tussle in her heart. Then she started to notice the change in Alan.
He would share freely in his cell group and caringly encouraged other members.
He was even reading God’s Word daily without fail. Finally, their estranged
relationship was reconciled.
In 2004, their first child arrived. Her natural childbirth was easy and relatively
painless. With nine pushes, Evangeline was safely delivered. For 20 years,
Chin Chin suffered from frequent gastric pain but
since she started attending the Miracle Service, the attacks stopped completely.
Before, Alan had a gambling habit. He would spend
up to 40% of his salary on betting. But since attending the Miracle Service,
that habit ceased totally and he had started to tithe faithfully. Physically,
the Lord had also healed him of skin disease, ingrown
toenail and swollen elbow. Hallelujah!

Delivered from soccer
betting, smoking
and neck pain
Dale Seow
Healed at the Miracle Service, Singapore
For more than three years, Dale Seow was hooked on soccer betting in the internet.
She would wake up in the wee hours to watch all the live
soccer matches that she bet on. That often annoyed her husband who was
trying to sleep. Dale tried repeatedly to quit that habit, but each time she
was drawn to it again after a short period of break from soccer betting. Through
the sharing of her Lighter friends, she knew that Christ is the answer to her
problem. On January 21, 2005, she felt so convicted that she said the sinner’s
prayer, much to the joy of her two daughters who are believers and had been praying
for her salvation.
The following day, Dale came to the Miracle Service with
a nagging pain in her neck that had troubled her
for three years. Incidentally, she had also been smoking
a pack of cigarettes every day for more than 26 years of her life.
Her attempts to kick the harmful habit using various means, including
acupuncture, had not met with any success.
During healing prayer, something unusual took place. She felt a warm touch
in her neck area. As soon as she opened her eyes, the pain in her neck totally
subsided and has not returned since. Dale knew right away that she had received
a wonderful touch from the Lord.
The next day at home, she just went about her usual routine. It was not until
2.45 pm that Dale realized she had not lit a single cigarette the whole morning.
She not only had no appetite for it, but also felt no withdrawal symptom whatsoever!
The Lord had miraculously delivered her from her smoking habit. From that day
onward, the desire to smoke simply vanished. Furthermore, since the Miracle
Service on January 22, Dale also lost all urge to bet. In fact, she no longer
felt drawn to even watch a soccer game. By God’s grace, her bondage of
soccer betting was gloriously broken. Praise the Lord!

Healed of Stones in Gall

Chay Moh
Healed at the Miracle Service, Singapore
In December 2004,
Tan Chay Moh twice experienced acute pain in his abdomen during his tour in
Israel. The first attack took place in a coach on the third last day of his
trip and the second one happened when he was at the Garden of Gethsemane the
following day. The pain was so sudden and intense that he bent over instinctively.
His wife, Esther, immediately prayed with him, rebuking the pain in both the
occurrences. Within minutes, the pain subsided. He did not think much of them
and headed back home subsequently.
On Sunday night that same week they returned to Singapore,
Chay experienced the third attack. Despite being under layers of blanket,
he felt cold and was shivering.
The next morning, he was shell-shocked when he looked in the mirror. The white
part of his eyeballs had completely turned yellowish. Furthermore, he also
noticed that the color of his urine was dark brown. He knew something was very
wrong and went to a hospital right away.
He was warded and put on a drip at once. A battery of tests was conducted to
determine the root cause.
Eventually, through the ultrasound scan, his doctor discovered that there were
numerous stones in his gall bladder. In fact,
some had flowed into his liver, causing infection which accounted for his symptoms.
A senior specialist then explained to him that surgery was absolutely
necessary to remove the entire gall bladder together with the stones.
Otherwise, the subsequent attack might be fatal. However, with the removal
of the gall bladder, Chay would have to abstain totally from any oily food
for the rest of his life as his body would not be able to digest fats without
the gall bladder.
Taken aback by the severity of his condition and the drastic measures that
were suggested, Chay protested and requested for an alternative solution but
his appeal was in vain. The surgery was scheduled on January 11, 2005 although
he kept telling the doctors that Jesus would deliver him.
In the hospital, all that he could do is to read God’s healing promises
in the Bible and pray. The two verses in Matthew 6:33 and 2 Chronicles 7:14
ministered to him greatly.
By the third morning in the hospital on December 23, Chay pleaded to be discharged
as he wanted to be with his family for Christmas. Noticing that his condition
had improved slightly, his doctors finally relented after some initial refusal.
On the eve of Christmas Day, Chay was at his cell group meeting, rallying all
the prayer support he could get from his cell members. And on Christmas Day
which happened to be on a Saturday, he chose to attend the Miracle Service.
As he was early, he started praying even before the service began and boldly
claimed his healing by faith. He recalled the miracles God had performed in
the Miracle Service and overseas Miracle Revival and implored God to heal him,
saying, “Surely, You can perform a miracle in me just like You did in
those meetings.”
During the mass healing prayer, Chay found his whole body shaking violently.
Tears were falling uncontrollably and he experienced a wonderful feeling. Esther
also laid her hands on him and prayed over him.
Finally, January 11, 2005 came. Chay and Esther prayed in the morning before
they set off to the hospital. Once Chay was there, a doctor performed a routine
scan before the surgery. To his astonishment, no trace
of the stones could be found!
Just then, the senior specialist walked in and could not believe the result.
He conducted the scan himself and confirmed that indeed the stones could not
be located at all.
Needless to say, Chay was given a clean bill of health following that. Indeed,
Jesus is the greatest Physician!

and emotional problems

Since young, Steven
Goh suffered from sweaty palms. His condition
was so severe that sweat would literally drip from his palms. As a result,
he could not help but smudge the pages of his exercise books when he was schooling
and was punished because he was thought to be untidy and sloppy. Shaking hands
with people became an embarrassing experience for him. Eventually, this awkward
condition made Steven an introvert and he grew up with an inferiority complex.
After he was married, his situation further deteriorated
and he found it hard to cope with the constant stress of life. Many things
agitated him and he was easily provoked to anger.
At work, he kept a distance from his colleagues. At home, he would flare
up over small things with Jennifer, his wife, and his children. There
were times that Steven thought Jennifer wanted to find fault with him
and exploded in fits of temper when she
merely glanced in his direction to seek his help. He just seemed to have
lost control over his emotions. Feeling totally helpless by his behavior,
Jennifer even talked about divorcing him, out of concern for their children
who had to listen to constant bickering in the home.
In 1995, in her despair, Jennifer started to seek Jesus. Her colleague led
her to Christ. When Steven found out, he threatened to divorce her if she continued
in her faith. “Who would worship my ancestors?” Steven reacted.
He had been a Taoist all his life. Consequently, Jennifer could not attend
church and was forced to read the Bible only in her office.
Meanwhile, sensing that he was under demonic oppression,
Steven tried to find ways to deal with his problems. He started to read books
on Buddhism and even consulted a monk regularly. But instead of improving,
his condition changed from bad to worse. His mind became overburdened and was
easily distracted. He could not focus on anything
long enough before his thoughts started to drift.
One day in March 2005, Steven confronted Jennifer because of money matter.
As she had stopped work to take care of their two sons, she thought they ought
to be more prudent with his single income. When he asked for more money to
spend on 4D lottery and the monk, she was hesitant to give money to him. He
finally blew his top. All the pent-up emotions erupted and he stomped out of
his house. That night, he did not return home.
Several days later, he went back to office. His colleague, Stanley, who had
been trying for many years to reach out to him, invited him to the Miracle
Service. Desperate, he wanted to attend the service but was afraid that Jennifer
might object, not knowing that she had not stopped believing in Jesus all this
while. By God’s grace, she saw the Lighters’ Link that Stanley
had passed to him and asked him what was going on. Assured that she was really
interested, he proposed that they attend the Miracle Service together as a
family. Words could not express the joy in Jennifer’s heart.
On March 19, 2005, Steven, Jennifer and their sons, Ernest and Edwin came to
the Miracle Service. Steven and Jennifer felt the strong presence of the Lord
and could not stop crying when the congregation was worshiping God. During
the salvation call, Steven willingly went forward to the altar. While he raised
his hands to receive Jesus into his heart, not only were tears flowing profusely
down his cheeks, sweat was also dripping from his palms. Immediately after
that prayer, Steven felt indescribable peace and joy. Whatever agitation,
anxiety and oppression that beset him were lifted that night.
The following day, he discovered that his sinusitis and migraine that
troubled him daily were gone. The physical healing did not stop there. In his
latest check-up, he was pleasantly surprised that his high
blood cholesterol of many years had miraculously fallen within the healthy
range and his blood fat deposit was normal. Although
he did not take his medication for a few weeks, there was a remarkable improvement
in his high blood pressure. And his sweaty palms
stopped dripping sweat. Even his diabetic condition was
under control and his right ear’s hearing impediment improved
significantly.
Furthermore, his 4D addiction and problem of lust also
stopped completely. Steven used to speak haltingly but
he was amazingly transformed after his conversion. The fact that he had recently
won several best speaker awards in his toastmaster’s club attests to
that!
In a bus one day, Steven asked God questions about wisdom. When he flipped
his Bible, the pages miraculously opened to chapter 7 of Ecclesiastes. As he
read verses 23 to 26, he saw his life being described and thanked God for His
revelation.
Through that one meeting with Jesus at the Miracle Service, Steven received
amazing breakthroughs spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically. He
now has peace and harmony in his family. At his workplace, his colleagues noticed
the complete turnaround in his attitude. Even the countenance of Ernest had
changed, from being fearful to being confident
and radiant. Steven now attends cell group and Bible study class regularly
and his whole family has not missed a single Miracle Service and Sunday worship
service since. Hallelujah!
