Marianne Perez, 27, had been suffering from lung infection for the past 17 years. This condition affected her breathing and the functioning of her heart. She consulted several doctors and was constantly on medication. As her condition deteriorated, Marianne became so weak that she was not able to carry out any form of physical exercise.
