Rheumatoid Arthritis
Lily Tan, a homemaker, had been suffering from rheumatoid arthritis since 1990. Whenever the attacks came, she would experience pain in all her joints for a few days, especially in her right ankle, which would be swollen. Her mobility would be greatly impaired as any movement in her joints would inflict severe pain.

She sought help from doctors who gave her frequent injections that only briefly relieved the pain but did not remove the disease. Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory disease in the joints likely caused by one's immune system reacting against his or her own tissues and has no known medical cure.

In February 1997, Lily's doctor had to perform surgery to remove the infected tissues and pus in her right ankle due to the excessive inflammation and agonizing pain. However, her troubles did not end there. At the end of September 1998, the arthritis attack came again, but this time, it lasted for many days. Her right ankle swelled badly. Her doctor suggested another surgery, which Lily declined. She decided to look to God for help and started to attend Miracle Service in October 1998.

During the December 1998 Miracle Service, Lily felt a comforting warmth flowing down her right leg. As she prayed to God to heal her, she also felt as if something was "drilling" in her swollen ankle. After that night, to her amazement, the pus in her ankle just trickled out over the next 40 days. She cannot remember when the pain in her joints departed but she rejoices in the fact that Jesus has completely healed her.
