In early 1998, there was a crisis in the marriage of Richard and Rosalind Lim. Whenever they tried to discuss or resolve their differences, they would end up quarrelling. Even divorce was mentioned repeatedly. Rosalind testified that she was then quick tempered and had a tendency to find fault. Richard was perplexed and lost. He struggled to seek for peace in the family and also within himself.
One Sunday, at the invitation of a colleague, Richard attended a worship service at Lighthouse Evangelism. He found tranquility in the Sanctuary. He received Christ and began trusting Him to restore his relationship with Rosalind. When he shared with her his intention to be baptized, she became curious and wanted to find out more about his new faith.
Richard brought Rosalind to the Miracle Service. Due to a fall from a staircase a few years ago, Rosalind experienced excruciating pain in her knees especially in a squatting position. She even needed aid to get up again. That night, when she prayed for healing, she felt warmth in her knees. The pain instantly left her. Rosalind gave her life to Jesus and was eventually baptized with Richard.
After her baptism, she was also progressively healed of her breathing difficulties. She realized this after she had been prayed for at a subsequent Miracle Service.
In mid-August 2000, Rosalind woke up because of terrible pain in her lower abdomen. She was rushed to the hospital and was warded for four days. Examination revealed a stone in the urinary tract and traces of blood in her urine. Her doctor recommended the use of a laser technique to break the stone into smaller pieces for easy exit. Otherwise, she would have to drink lots of water to painfully flush it out.
Rosalind chose to trust God for complete healing. She came to the Miracle Service with full confidence in Christ's healing power. Two weeks later, when her doctor could not find any trace of the stone, he was astonished to discover that she had not experienced any pain throughout.
Rosalind also testified that after her conversion, the only time she lost her temper was in May 1998. She was so angry after an argument with Richard that she swallowed a packet of sleeping pills and 20 tablets of Panadol. As she was lying on her bed waiting for her life to end, she realized her folly of having fallen into the devil's scheme of destruction. Strangely, she did not even feel like dozing off. In fact, she stayed awake throughout the night - God in His mercy had protected her from taking her own life! She repented and promised God that she would not repeat such foolishness again.
From then on, Rosalind's temper has been well under control. In fact, Richard testified that they have since been enjoying a wonderful marriage and an intimate relationship. All glory to God! Back to Top
